Hello! We are the Evergreen Collective Foundation, a non-profit youth organization tackling climate change through awareness and aid. From fundraising to campaigning, we strive to rally support for various local and international climate catastrophes alike.

Meredith Wang

National Executive Director

A senior student attending University Hill Secondary School, Meredith is ecstatic to serve as the executive director at ECF. She started getting involved with climate change initiatives in her elementary school days and has been passionate about the environment ever since. Currently, Meredith is researching satellite technology and its agricultural usage in conserving water. Outside of ECF, Meredith can be found struggling at debate tournaments or rewatching the office—sometimes both at the same time!

Finn Liu

National Co-Director, Internal

In his senior year at Fraser Heights Secondary School, Finn is looking forward to another successful year with ECF, serving as a Co-director. Through building awareness on prominent climate issues by directly connecting with members of communities impacted, he recognizes the importance of advocating for a cleaner, safer environment. Outside of his many leadership commitments, Finn can be found breathless from fencing, passively avoiding attacks from his cat Zuko, and playing brown noise as the only music he listens to when studying.

Enya Fang

National Co-Director, External

Currently a grade 11 student at Southridge School, Enya is deeply honoured to serve as the National Co-Director of ECF. From community fundraisers to educational blogs and webinars, she hopes that ECF will continue to forward the power of youth-led activism - both within and outside of the climate movement. In her spare time, Enya enjoys writing, being in the mountains, and indulging her obsession with tea.

Angelina Yeung

Director of Operations

Currently a senior, Ange Yeung is proud to serve as the treasurer for ECF. As climate change continues to cause environmental devastation across the globe, Ange hopes to use ECF as an outlet to platform the impact of climate change on places that are ignored by mainstream media. Outside of ECF, you can find Ange scouring book stores for poetry chapbooks, searching for art exhibits, or writing.

Vivenne Zhang

Secretary

Vivien is a senior at University Hill Secondary School. She is thrilled to serve as the secretary for the Evergreen Collective Foundation. Vivien wishes to make a contribution to environmental protection and raise awareness of climate change. Outside of ECF, she enjoys golfing and watching the Simpsons. Welcome to ECF!

Albert Guo

Website Director

Entering his senior year at Fraser Heights Secondary School, Albert is honoured to be serving as the website director for Evergreen Collective. He is passionate about protecting the environment and advocating solutions to environmental issues. Outside of hugging trees, Albert can be found obsessing over his Tetris score, procrastinating over homework, or going for a jog at his local park.

Anny Chen

Director of Marketing

Anny is a grade 12 student at University Hill Secondary. Anny is honoured to serve as the marketing director for Evergreen Foundation this year. She has a passion for the environment dating back to elementary school. She is also looking forward to working with ECF to expand environmental awareness to more people. Outside of ECF, she can be found working on debate, studying, and playing badminton.

Shubham Sharma

Director of Fundraising

A grade 11 student at Southridge, Shubham is excited to serve as the Fundraising Director for ECF. He joined hoping to be able to help his community, both in and outside his school, with service and leadership. Shubham's passions include jazz and robotics. When he's not doing any of those, he is either rewatching the same 3 shows over and over again or trying (and failing) to pronounce Worcestershire sauce.

Maggie

Fundraising Coordinator

Going into her sophomore year at Crofton House School, Maggie is delighted to be the fundraising coordinator for ECF. Ever since she was in elementary school, Maggie has been doing a lot for the environment, including picking up trash every lunch. Through ECF, she hopes to spread light on the variety of environmental challenges the world is currently facing and to create positive change. Outside of ECF, you can find Maggie reading her books, baking macarons and cookies, or listening to Stray Kids.

Shira Rubin

Editor In Chief

Shira is a senior at University Hill Secondary. She is the Editor in Chief at the Evergreen Collective Foundation for a second year. Shira is passionate about advocating for climate change and mental health awareness for youth, as well as for proper healthcare, housing, and education for Indigenous people in British Columbia. Outside of ECF, she enjoys ballroom dancing and competing in Formal Latin Dancesport, watching rocket launches, and bingeing old horror movies.

Margaret Xun

Creative Director

As a senior at University Hill secondary, Margaret is thrilled to combine her passions for design and advocating for the environment as ECF’s Graphic Designer. She hopes to be able to highlight the importance of climate activism through her work at ECF. Outside of ECF, Margaret enjoys drawing while watching sitcoms she’s already seen far too many times.

Social Media Coordinator

In their sophomore year at Crofton House School, Amy is honoured to be serving as the Social Media Coordinator for ECF. Driven by a deep passion for environmental activism, Amy works in hopes of raising public awareness about critical climate issues and connecting directly with communities impacted by environmental challenges. Beyond of their commitments at ECF, Amy's spends their time pampering her menagerie of pets: from some very cute geckos to silly shrimp.

Director of Social Media

As a senior at University Hill Secondary School, June is delighted to serve as the Social Media Representative at ECF. She’s fond of making efforts to help out the environment and towards climate change. Outside of ECF, June enjoys replaying Taylor Swift songs and baking pastries in her kitchen. June had made many wonderful memories with the rest of the ECF team in the past year and cannot wait for more to come.

Kenneth Goh

Website Coordinator

Currently a grade 12 student in University Hill Secondary School, Kenneth is thrilled to serve with ECF as the Website Coordinator. With the increase in local and international environmental related issues, Kenneth believes that taking action against climate change is necessary to improve the livelihoods of those affected. In his natural environment, Kenneth can be observed attempting to create video games, going to the gym, and playing chess with other unfortunate victims.

Currently a grade 12 student, Angela is excited to contribute to ECF. Their concern for the environment and desire for change has been transferred into an action thanks to ECF. Outside of being in constant pain thanks to school courses, Angela can be found drinking copious amounts of coffee at 3am thanks to again, school courses.

David Kim

Member At Large

Entering his final year of the IB program with more hope than ever, David is elated to serve as ECF’s Co-director again. His love for nature stems from Grade 7 when he began helping his mother in gardening; thus, to satisfy his thirst to share his passion, he joined ECF. With his team, David wishes to go above and beyond to foster a deeper understanding of ecological issues. Besides ECF, David is passionate about checking his 2500+ emails, sleeping in for one extra hour, and watching yet another technology clip on Youtube.

Alisha is in grade 10 at Southridge School and a writer for ECF. She hopes to go into the medical field in the future and is very interested in stem related topics as well as psychology and philosophy. She is excited about educating others and herself on the environmental crisis as well as writing articles exploring the science of climate change. Alisha enjoys playing the guzheng, acting, and reading.

Sophie is a Grade 11 student at Southridge School hoping to go into sociology and data science after high school. Her passion for environmental protection stems from the deep-rooted racialization of climate change and the ways that carbon emissions target the most marginalized communities; in their free time, they enjoy snowboarding, writing poetry, studying analytics in women’s sports, and watching Studio Ghibli movies.

Iona is a junior at University Hill Secondary School, hoping to study art and design. She goes by the pronouns she/her. Her focus on environmental action surround events with ties to wildlife snd animal conservation, especially on local issues like the BC Salmon. She is excited to write for ECF and spread more awareness on the causes she is passionate in. When she is not writing, she is usually drawing through the night or playing video games.
